Buyer's guide
How to choose a sterling silver bracelet
Choose the link first, then the width, the length, any diamonds and how to keep it bright
Start with a slim plain link, a Franco or a rope. Those two made up most of what people bought here, and they wear every day beside a watch or alone. Keep it under 4 mm wide for daily wear. The skulls and the diamond pieces are the loud ones, most of them wide. Every bracelet here is sterling, and sterling darkens with time, so keep a polishing cloth in the drawer.
Measure your wrist with a tape or a strip of paper, pick how you like it to sit, and read the length to order.
1. Measure the wrist
Wrap a soft tape snug around the wrist, over the wrist bone, and type the inches it reads.
inches
Check the screen with a quarter first. Lay a quarter flat on the screen, over the coin, and move the slider until the coin on the screen is exactly the size of yours.
Wrap a strip of paper snug around the wrist, over the wrist bone, and mark where it meets. Cut it at the mark and fold it in half, end to end. Lay the fold on the 0 at the top of the ruler and move the slider under it until the gold line sits on the two ends. The ruler reads the whole strip.
7.25 inches around the wrist
2. How should it sit?
The link
A 7.25 inch wrist with a comfortable fit takes an 8 inch bracelet. 18 of the 21 bracelets here come in 8 inches.
Our rule of thumb: measure the wrist snug, then add half an inch, three quarters of an inch or a full inch for a snug, a comfortable or a loose fit. A link 10 mm or wider eats room inside the loop, so add a quarter inch more. Between two lengths, take the longer.
A home measurement is a guide; the desk can check it with you before you order. The counts are the bracelets live here on September 26, 2026.
The link: which silver bracelet link to buy, Franco, rope or Miami Cuban
Buy the Franco pave or the rope first. The Franco's listing describes a tight link with a finely textured finish and names no stones. Across its three lengths it sold more than any other design. The rope is a twisted link that hides small scratches, and it became the single bracelet bought most since it arrived in June. The iced link is the flashier choice, but its listing does not say what ices it, so ask us first. The Miami Cubans and curbs lie flatter.
Width and weight: how thick a silver bracelet should be
For a bracelet that stays on day and night, keep between 3 and 4 mm. Most of what sells is that slim. At that width the Franco weighs 13 to 16 grams, and the rope about half that. Go to 5 or 6 mm when the bracelet should be seen. The skulls start at 10 mm wide. They run 65 to 103 grams, a real weight to carry. Silver is lighter than gold, so the same link in 14K would weigh about a quarter more.
Length: what size silver bracelet to get for your wrist
Take 7.5 or 8 inches if you are not sure, the two lengths bought most. Run a soft tape around the wrist just above the bone and add about an inch, so a slim link has room to move. Most plain links here come in a choice of lengths, but the Franco is sold one length to a listing. Nearly all the statement pieces come in a single length, most often 8 inches, so read the inches before you pay. The men's bracelets guide shows how to take the wrist.
Diamonds on silver: lab-grown and natural diamond silver bracelets
Five bracelets here are listed with diamonds, and most of them are lab-grown. The Mini UFO comes both ways, natural or grown, with the same 0.80 carats, the fairest place to weigh one against the other. A lab-grown diamond is a diamond, and only a lab instrument tells it from a mined stone. Three skulls show diamonds only in their descriptions, so ask us the origin and the weight before you buy.
Care: how to keep a sterling silver bracelet from tarnishing
No listing here covers care, so this is our own advice. Silver darkens as sulfur in the air reaches it, and sweat, perfume and pool water speed that up. Rub a plain link with a polishing cloth and the shine returns in a minute. Keep it dry in a closed pouch, one bracelet to a pocket so the links do not scratch. Take it off for the pool and the hot tub. An oxidized piece is the exception. Keep the cloth off its dark areas and skip any silver dip, or the black wears through. Wash it in warm soapy water and dry it.

Questions we get in the store
Are these silver bracelets real .925 sterling silver?
Yes. Every bracelet here is listed .925 silver, the sterling standard. That means 92.5 percent pure silver, with copper making up most of the rest for strength. The plain links are described as solid, and no listing says plated.
Does a sterling silver bracelet tarnish?
Yes. All sterling darkens, and sweat, perfume and pool water speed it up. No listing covers care, so this is general silver advice. A polishing cloth brings a plain link back, and a closed pouch keeps it dry.
What size silver bracelet should I get?
Take 7.5 or 8 inches, the lengths bought most here. Measure the wrist with a soft tape and add about an inch for a link that moves freely. A slim wrist wears 7 inches. A big wrist wants 8.5 or 9.
More questions we get
Which silver bracelet sells the most?
The rope bracelet sold most, 71 since it arrived in June. Counting its three lengths together, the Franco pave sold more as a design. Both are slim, solid links under 4 mm that sit well beside a watch.
Are the diamonds on these silver bracelets real?
Five bracelets are listed with diamonds, most of them lab-grown. The Mini UFO also comes natural. Three skulls mention diamonds only in their descriptions, so ask us the origin and the weight before you pay.
What is oxidized silver?
It is sterling darkened on purpose, so the recesses turn black and the diamonds or the engraved name stand out. Our advice is soap and water, dried well, with the polishing cloth kept off the dark areas.
Are these silver bracelets for men or women?
Every bracelet here sits in our men's case. Five sit in the women's case too, the slimmest Miami Cuban, the custom name bracelet and both Mini UFOs among them. A slim link under 4 mm suits any wrist.
Can I return a silver bracelet?
Yes, unworn and unaltered silver has fourteen days from delivery, but a custom name bracelet is final. Clear it with customer service at service@traxnyc.com or 212-391-3832 for our return label. From the refund we hold five percent restocking and the return shipping (refund policy).
