An advantage of 18k is that it catches rhodium better then lower grades of gold. This gives 18K gold a much nicer white luster at first; but unfortunately when rhodium wears off 18K white gold is left looking yellowish and dull. However with yellow gold, 18k will retain the most high quality gold luster possible to practically use with diamond jewelry forever. 18k is heavy, precious, soft and should mostly be used in jewelry generally under 20 grams.

We can definitely help you make this chain longer. Having this customized to 22" will cost about $10,500.00 You would be looking at approx. 13cts of VS1 diamonds. We could make this about 3mm wide, using 8-9 pointer diamond stones. This will cost significantly more money.
