Decide what the ring is for before you look at stones. An engagement ring is built around one center stone, and a band is worn beside it or alone. Have a ring from her finger measured before you order, since a resized ring is final sale. Take 14K gold for a ring she never takes off. Most buyers here chose lab-grown diamonds, real diamond on the same grading scale.

Your screen becomes the sizer. On most phones it is already true size, and a quarter lets you check. Then measure the finger you will wear the ring on, with a ring that already fits that finger or with a strip of paper.
Lay a quarter flat on the screen, over the coin, and move the slider until the coin on the screen is exactly the size of yours. No quarter? Then the circle and the ruler are not to scale: measure your paper strip with a real ruler and set that number in millimeters on the strip slider, then send it to the desk.
Take a ring that fits the same finger of the same hand the new ring will live on; every finger is its own size. Set it on the screen over the circle and move the slider until the circle just fills the inside of the ring.
