Product Description

Red sapphire, princess cut, prong-set down a one-inch cross. Small on purpose. At 1.35 grams this is a piece that disappears under a collar and turns up when you want it to, rather than announcing itself across a room.

Red is the harder sapphire to keep consistent. Stones run anywhere from orange-red to near-burgundy inside the same parcel, and matching 1.49 carats of them across a piece this small takes sorting time most benches will not spend. Set against yellow gold the colour runs warm; against white it reads sharper.
