Choose the motif first, then read the stone line. A diamond cross in 14K yellow is what men buy most here, and a small one hangs well on the chain you already own. Nearly every listing prints a carat, but ask us for the grade before you pay. Keep it under an inch and a half across. Tell the desk which chain it will ride, since no listing prints the bail's opening.
The stones: real diamonds, natural or lab grown, black diamonds, round and baguette
Yes, they are diamonds. Nearly every listing says so. On the few that never do, ask the desk. Natural or lab grown is printed on nearly every listing, in the origin line, natural on most. Both are diamond, one mined and one grown, and on a blank listing you ask us which.
The usual stone here is a round diamond held in prongs, with baguettes on a handful of crosses and letters. Black diamonds hang here too, though few men buy them.
Carat and grade: carat weight, VS and SI clarity, G color
Read the carat line to know the piece, not to shop by it. Nearly every listing prints a carat, 1,162 of the 1,202. Under two percent of the sales here went to pieces with none printed.
Where clarity shows, it reads VS or SI on all but three. VS marks are hard to find even under a loupe. SI marks a loupe finds and your eye seldom does. Color, where printed, is mostly G, a white stone. Ask the desk for the carat and grade before you pay.
Motif: diamond cross, Jesus piece, initial and name, hamsa, custom iced out
The cross is what sells. It took over a third of the pieces men bought here. A small cross in 14K is the safe first piece. The Jesus piece runs heavier, and hamsas sell steadily and stay small.
Initials and names and custom pieces fill much of this page, yet few sell straight off a listing. They are made to your order, so talk to the desk first.
Size and metal: 14K or 10K gold, yellow or white, inches and grams
Go small. Nearly everything men bought here was under an inch and a half wide. A mini runs about an inch and a quarter and under seven grams.
Take 14K in yellow. It took two thirds of the sales here. Seven in ten men who chose a gold color chose yellow. 10K holds less gold and shows a paler yellow. Ask how a white piece is plated, since no listing tells you. For silver, read the men's silver pendants guide.
Chain and buying: what chain for a diamond pendant, the custom wait, returns
The chain is sold apart, except on the sets. Rope and Franco are the links the descriptions name most. Where a man chose a length with his piece, 18 inches led. No listing prints how wide the bail opens, so name your chain to the desk. The men's gold chains guide covers the links.
For a custom piece, get a date from the desk before you order. Shop Pay installments, Affirm, Afterpay and Acima all work at checkout for paying over time. An unworn, unaltered piece is returnable for fourteen days from delivery, on our return label after the desk's yes. The refund policy takes that label and five percent restocking off a diamond's refund, and nothing made to your order returns. Reach the desk about a pendant on the live chat, or call 212-872-9692, where a person picks up from 10 AM ET.
