Choose by the gold you wear and the size of your wrist, then check what comes with it
Match the watch to the jewelry you already wear, then choose the case. Nearly every watch here is a pre-owned Rolex, and a Datejust in steel and yellow gold is the easy choice for a woman who wears yellow gold. The 36 mm was most of what sold here, and a slim wrist often looks better one size down. Watches are final sale, so go over papers and fit with the desk first.
Which watch: women's luxury watches, a Rolex or a diamond watch
Start with a Rolex Datejust if the watch has to go everywhere with you. Every watch for sale here but one is a pre-owned Rolex, and the Datejust is most of them. It shows the date at three o'clock under a small lens. The Day-Date is the all-gold Rolex, and it spells out the day at twelve. The one watch that is not a Rolex is set all over with lab-grown diamonds, a piece for the evening more than the office. The women's Rolex page shows the Rolex alone.
Case size: what size watch for a woman's wrist, 26mm, 31mm or 36mm
Lay the watch across the top of your wrist before you look at a dial. The case should stay inside the edges. Over half our watches for sale are 36 mm, and each of those is offered to men as well. It was also the size bought most, and on a woman it reads bold. A slimmer wrist takes the 31. A very slim wrist takes the 26, the older Lady-Datejust size, and so does a woman who wants a small, dressy watch. Nearly every title gives the case size.
Match your gold: two-tone, steel or 18K gold watches for women
Buy the watch in the gold you already wear on your hands. Two-tone, steel with a gold bezel and center links, is the most common metal here and the one bought most. It sits well beside yellow gold rings. Steel goes with white gold and silver, and several steel Datejusts wear a fluted white gold bezel. Three two-tone watches pair the steel with Everose, Rolex's rose gold. Our solid 18K yellow gold watches all sit on the President bracelet. The only solid white gold watch is the diamond one.
Diamonds: diamond watches for women, lab-grown or a Rolex diamond dial
Decide first between a watch with a few diamonds and a piece of diamond jewelry that tells time. The lab diamond watch is the second kind, and lab-grown is real diamond, grown rather than mined. On the Rolex pieces the stones sit on the dial or the bezel, and plain dials outsold them here. Rolex sets some at the factory. A jeweler's later setting resells as custom work. Several listings here say their diamond dial or bezel is aftermarket. Where a listing is silent, the desk tells you.
Before you pay: box and papers, bracelet fit and final sale
Start with the card-and-papers line in each Rolex description. Only about one watch in four here still has its Rolex card or papers. On every Rolex the box is an extra, sold as an add-on. The refund policy names watches as strictly non-returnable, so every watch sale is final. Measure your wrist and ask the desk how the bracelet will be fitted. The live chat reaches the desk first, and a text or a call to 212-872-9692 reaches a person from 10 AM ET. Before a watch goes on the site, our watch team inspects it in person, and every shipment is tracked and signed for.
